TYPE: A native of equinoctial America, whence it is said to have been brought by Mr. Henchman. For my specimens I am indebted to His Grace the Duke of Devonshire, who ordered them to be sent from Chatsworth in September, 1888, Mr. Henchman s.n. (holotype, K; illustration of type).
