TYPE: Colombia. Putumayo: epiphytic in cloud forest near Sibundoy, alt. ca. 2300 m, collected by O. Ospina, flowered in cultivation at Sibundoy, 30 Jul 1978. R. Escobar 2002 (holtype, JAUM; isotype, SEL).
